So I did it. I knuckled under. I capitulated.
I released STONELANDS as a paperback last year, stating that I had no plans to release it as an ebook, primarily due to piracy concerns. This, after finding THE NEW MAGIC on a pirate site with north of 1,900 ratings and something like a 4.6-star average. ITHE NEW MAGIC was pirated almost immediately, and I never made my production costs back.
STONELANDS is now at a point where, between the film option and the paperback sales, I’m in the black. (BTW, it peaked at #19 in Norse and Viking Legends a few weeks after launch, and that was as a $25 paperback competing against $3 ebooks. Way to go, people!) With that out of the way, and thanks to your nonstop clamoring and outcry about not releasing digitally, your wishes have been granted. Squeaky wheels, grease, all that.
